UN POCO DE HISTORIA...

La Estancia EL OLIVO B&B está en el sector hotelero de la Avenida circunvalar de Villa de leyva, que atraviesa la que fuera una hacienda que tenía un huerto de Olivos el cual dió el nombre al Barrio Los Olivos. La Estancia EL OLIVO B&B está ubicada a cuatro cuadras de la imponente Plaza Principal de Villa de Leyva. Este hermoso municipio colombiano fué declarado monumento nacional en 1954 por su conservada arquitectura colonial, valorada también por sus vestigios arqueológicos, paleontológicos y sus atractivos naturales.

La Estancia EL OLIVO existe hace 20 años. A mediados de los 90´s se incorporó el concepto de Bed & Breakfast en su servicio, a raíz de la grata experiencia que vivió en Inglaterra, la esposa del dueño, a quién la hospitalidad y la atención personalizada acompañada de un rico desayuno, de un B&B británico, la cautivó, sobre todo por su excelente relación calidad precio.

De 2003 a 2007 la estancia fue hogar transitorio de colombianos o extranjeros que se radicaron por largos periódos. En 2008 se hacen algunas mejoras de exteriores y se adecuan nuevamente las habitaciones y es lo que se ofrece actualmente.

Bed & Breakfast traducido al español literalmente significa cama y desayuno, pero en realidad esta definición inglesa tiene un significado mucho más complejo. Se trata de una filosofía basada en la hospitalidad y la disponibilidad hacia otras personas en un clima cariñoso, limpio y familiar. Quienes eligen la fórmula B&B son personas que prefieren una experiencia más directa, en lugar de estructuras profesionalmente organizadas como los hoteles convencionales.

Nuestros huéspedes se introducen en el contexto social y cultural de una familia, de modo que puedan vivir la experiencia única de visitar Villa de Leyva por unos días. Generalmente, se relacionan personas de todo el mundo, un acercamiento a la "Aldea Global", entablando amistad con otras culturas. Al lado de la Casa de los Artistas se encuentra el pasillo de las habitaciones.Todas con nombres de piedras preciosas.

Este enmarca un patio cuyos protagonistas principales son los árboles de olivo,de sutil belleza, con sus hojas verde y plata, que llegaron a Villa de Leyva hace 400 años.

En el rincón místico y aromático se reunen los emblemas de la Estancia EL OLIVO B&B: La Vírgen del Agarradero, un frondoso Árbol de Olivo, y una cabeza de león tallada en piedra, en el pequeño jardín de plantas aromáticas.

Recientemente se abrió para el disfrute de todos la Terraza a la cual se accede por la "Escalera al Cielo" donde se observa una hermosa vista al Macizo de Iguaque importante en la cosmogonía chibcha por el Mito de Bachué la madre del género humano.Desde la terraza se divisa un paisaje de tejados coloniales y en el horizonte el paisaje montañoso de Iguaque.

La Estancia EL OLIVO B&B consta de 8 habitaciones y una Cabaña: Oliva Granate Suite, todas tienen nombre de piedras preciosas, por sus acentos de color y significado: Oliva Zafiro, Oliva Rubí, Oliva Ambar, Oliva Turquesa, Oliva Esmeralda, Oliva Jade, Oliva Venturina, Oliva Olivino.

Todas tienen baño privado, agua caliente, TV. Cable, acceso a interenet inalámbrico en las zonas comunes. Parqueadero. Oliva Granate Suite es una cabaña cuenta con dos habitaciones dos baños, tina y chimenea.

Recientemente se cuenta con la OLIVA ZEN SUITE que se reserva prioritariamente con los servicios del OLIVA ZEN SPA.

Contiguo a la Recepción, está el Salón-Comedor Salón del Tesoro, donde las joyas son nuestros huéspedes. Es es un espacio fresco conectado a los verdes del exterior, allí se sirve el desayuno a quienes quieren tomar ese servicio. Tiene valor adicional y es opcional.

En el rincón Venecia confluye el acceso a Oliva Granate Suite, Oliva Jade y Oliva Venturina.

In the mid 90´s joined to the service the concept of Bed & Breakfast, as a result of a pleasant experience that owner´s wife lived in England, whom the hospitality and personalized attention with a delicious breakfast at one british B&B captivated especially for its connection between quality-price.

From 2003 to 2007 it was transitory home of Colombians or foreign that were situated for long periódos. In 2008 some improvements of outsides are done and the rooms are adapted again and is what is offered at present.

Beside the artists-owners´ house there is a hall of rooms which frame a patio where the main characters are the Olive trees: of subtle beauty, with green-silver leaves, this kind of tree came to Villa de Leyva 400 years ago.

These in particular have a special meaning because each one was sewed on the date of birth of each one of the family members.

There are eight rooms and one special Cabaña- Granate Suite.

For booking, please call in advance in order to verify the room you want is available. After that it is required to make a bank consignation of 50% of the total if it is for more than two nights. If it is just for a night the consignation must be for the total.
